German Riesling
The Region... Many wine enthusiasts would
agree that Germany produces the world's finest Rieslings.
Germany's most famous regions wind along its river banks.
The vineyards along these slopes are among the steepest in
the world. The country's slate infused soils perform dual
functions of reflecting the warmth of the day back onto the
vines from the setting sun as well as imparting the wines
with the characteristic mineral tang for which German Rieslings
are famous.
The Wine... Our Founder's Series German
Riesling impeccably reflects the individuality of its region
of origin's terrior. This classic Riesling features a beautifully
expressive bouquet suggesting green apples, stone fruit and
honeysuckle with delecate floral notes and a clever touch
of mineraliness to give it a distinctly German indentity.
Balanced on the palate, flavours of citrus, apricot and honey
will engage your senses. This Riesling's lively acidity makes
it a wonderfully versatile food wine. Serve as a aperitu with
salty appetizers or paired with your main course of seasoned
grilled chicken, fresh summer salads, Asian stir fry or ginger
glazed pork roast.
Includes Sweet Reserve Pack. Sugar Code (1) with Sweet Reserve.
Australian Cabernet / Shiraz
The Region... Australian
wine regions boast an abundance of sunshine and warm, dry
climates. These favourable climates, combined with diverse
soils provide ideal growing conditions for many grape varieties
to produce the country's famous fruit forward wines. Australian
vineyards are generally irrigated, allowing growers to control
yields and produce excellent grapes destined to create premium
wines, consistently each and every year.
The Wine... The blending
of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon became popular among Australian
winemakers in the 1960's. Our Founder's Series Cabernet /
Shiraz combines the strengths of each varietal. The intensity
and structure of Cabernet Sauvignon and the famous spicy fruit
flavours of Shiraz come together to create a rich full-bodied
wine that is warm and generous with soft, rounded flavours
with a medium tannin finish. This superb red wine is ideally
suited to BBQ fare, roasted lamb, marinated beef tenderloin
and full flavoured pastas.
Includes European Toasted cubed oak.
