further preserving the natural character of the grape juices
ensuring outstanding quality wines with distinctive flavours,
bouquet and character. You can be assured that our computer

Dryness
Our wine kits are formulated to produce a dry wine.
The exception is our Fruit Wines and Ice Wines which require
the use of a Sweet Reserve Pack. In addition, Sweet Reserve
Packs are included as options for several of our white wines.
Wines are classified as dry (no detectable sugar) through
to sweet with gradations in between from off-dry (1) to Medium-sweet
(3-6) with many Specialty wines with even higher ratings.
Add Packs
Many of our wine kits give you the option to add additional
ingredients to allow you to customize and bring more complex
flavours to your wine. Each Additive Pack is carefully measured
and when used, will result in an excellent tasting, well balanced
wine. Add Packs provided include Oak, Elderflowers, Elderberries
and Sweet Reserve. For some wine styles, you may be supplied
multiple packages of the same ingredient. We'll make sure
you use all the ingredient packages included in your kit!
Oak Type
We provide only the highest quality ingredients from around
the world. Oak is sourced from specific regions in order to
ensure the most pleasing and complimenting flavours to the
wine. Premium un-toasted oak imparts lighter, vanilla-like
flavours to the wine whereas toasted oak imparts a distinctly
smoky style to the wine. European (Hungarian) provides a more
spicy oak flavouring to the wine. European toasted cubed oak
is used in our most premium wine kits.
